NERD FROG — woodland trail
The woodland environment, animated frog artwork, creek obstacles, and wooden mesh net were created for Cannon Quiz using AI image generation. The creek is an imagined woodland setting. Frog companions are artistic depictions, not identification photographs.
Nature references: Frog and toad species reference and Pickerel Frog. No photographs from these pages are reproduced in the game.
Earnest is an artistic depiction of the American Bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus). This large frog lives near permanent water and slow-moving stream sections. Its artwork was generated for Cannon Quiz; the reference photograph is not reproduced.
Creek ambience: Stream Sounds by kurt, from OpenGameArt.org, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0. A continuous excerpt has been levelled, crossfaded and extended into a 63-second sound bed, played as a gapless loop at reduced volume. This is atmospheric sound design; the recording location is unspecified.
Interface typefaces: DM Sans and Outfit, distributed under the SIL Open Font License through Google Fonts. Short game cues and dive/splash effects are synthesized for Cannon Quiz.
Kitten Cove — retired harbor artwork
The original sunlit harbor and kitten illustration was created for Cannon Quiz using OpenAI image generation. Kitten Cove is a fictional setting. The companion portraits show details from that original illustration. Parcel illustrations and equal-part fraction models were created in code for the game; all mathematical pieces and counts are rendered by the game rather than embedded in generated artwork.
The playable kitten walk-cycle artwork and seaside mouse-garden background were also created with OpenAI image generation. The kittens are animated in the game, with preserved transparent fur edges. Toy mice, mouse houses, movement controls, and mathematical group counts are drawn in code.
Optional musical feedback is synthesized for Cannon Quiz with the Web Audio API. No third-party sound recordings are used. Interface typefaces: DM Sans and Outfit, distributed under the SIL Open Font License through Google Fonts.
Bobcat Division Devour — the wildlands
The woodland clearing, bobcat poses, and mouse artwork were created for Cannon Quiz using OpenAI image generation. This is an imagined woodland landscape. The animals are artistic wildlife depictions, not species-identification photographs. Number labels and hunting trails are game mechanics; the game does not represent the amount of prey a real bobcat needs.
Nature references: Comeback Cats (Winter 2011), describes bobcats, their mouse prey, and stalking and ambush behavior. The National Park Service bobcat species page describes hunting mice and voles and waiting to pounce. No photographs from these references are reproduced.
Creek ambience reuses the continuous sound bed credited for NERD FROG: Stream Sounds by kurt, licensed under CC BY 3.0; levelled, crossfaded, and extended for looping. The recording location is unspecified. Short leaf-rustle effects are synthesized for Cannon Quiz. Typefaces: DM Sans and Outfit, SIL Open Font License, via Google Fonts.
Otter Odyssey, Beaver: Build the Wild & Hawk: Canyon Flight
The bark-covered oak log used for beaver branches and the turkey trail was created for Cannon Quiz with OpenAI image generation. Transparent artwork is an artistic game prop. Short water, wing, and leaf movement effects are synthesized in the game; the continuous creek recording keeps its existing credit below.
The underwater stream, sunset pond, canyon, and playable wildlife artwork were created for Cannon Quiz with OpenAI image generation. These are imagined woodland environments. Animal artwork is an artistic depiction, not an identification photograph. The mathematical models, labels, counts, and measurements are rendered by the game.
Nature references: the National Park Service river otter guide, beaver guide, and a birding guide. No photographs from these references are reproduced. Otter journey markers, fraction bars, and building spans are learning models, not wildlife behavior or engineering guidance. The river-distance overlay and fraction diagrams are drawn in code; they are not physical objects in the water.
Optional ambience reuses Stream Sounds by kurt, licensed under CC BY 3.0. The recording was levelled, crossfaded, and extended into the continuous loop also used by NERD FROG. The recording location is unspecified. Short movement cues are synthesized. Typefaces: DM Sans and Outfit, SIL Open Font License, via Google Fonts.
Turkey: Ridge Run — Eastern wild turkey
The sunlit oak ridge and four Eastern wild turkey poses were created for Cannon Quiz using OpenAI image generation. This is an imagined woodland. The playable bird is artistic wildlife imagery, not a species-identification photograph. Numbered foraging patches, algebra clues, and trail rewards are educational game mechanics.
Nature reference: Wild Turkey Program reference, including its woodland-edge habitat imagery. No reference photographs are reproduced.
